We are certified trainers of Mental Health First Aid England’s Training Portfolio (MFHA) and provide access for all front-line staff who live, work, or volunteer in Haringey. Please note that our courses are extremely popular and often fully booked, so make sure you secure your place well in advance.
Our keystone offering is the MHFA Adult Two Day Course which takes place once per month at Mind in Haringey for up to 16 people, per course. It is particularly relevant for those who work in the public sector, such as GP surgery staff and police and fire officers, but is useful to anyone who would like to qualify as a Mental Health First Aider.
The course focuses on equipping individuals with the ability to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and ways to respond in a supportive and appropriate manner. In addition to aiding you with an in-depth understanding of mental health and wellbeing, it offers practical skills that will give you the confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress.
