Two Day Course Details
We are certified trainers of Mental Health First Aid England’s Training Portfolio (MHFA) and provide access to this training for front-line staff who live, work, or volunteer in Haringey for free or at a cost for people that do not fit this criteria (see below).
Our keystone offering is the MHFA Adult Two Day Course which takes place once per month at Mind in Haringey for up to 16 people, per course. It is particularly relevant for those who work in the public sector, such as GP surgery staff, police and fire officers, but is useful to anyone who would like to qualify as a Mental Health First Aider.
The course focuses on equipping individuals with the ability to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and ways to respond in a supportive and appropriate manner. In addition to aiding you with an in-depth understanding of mental health and wellbeing, it offers practical skills that will give you the confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress.
The two day course runs from 9am to 5pm on both days. The course is held at Mind in Haringey Station House 73a Stapleton hall road N4 3QF.
How much does it cost?
The monthly MHFA Adult Two Day Course is fully funded from Haringey ICB to those who work or volunteer for a Haringey Voluntary and Community sector organisation as a front line worker and those that live in the borough of Haringey. You can therefore get free access to this course, simply email us at [email protected] and attach an ‘in date’ proof of your key worker position or Haringey address and we will send you a unique code to gain access to this course.
For anyone outside of this criteria, the course costs £200 per person, which includes a manual, workbook, access to the Mental Health First Aid England Hub, certificate and lanyard.

BAME Training
In our commitment to being an anti-racist organisation, some of our dates listed are specifically offered to members of BAME community groups and organisations. These include charities and faith-based organisations. If you belong to a BAME group based in Haringey, the training will be free to your group. Private Training
If you would like to book a group for up to 16 participants for your organisation onto the MHFA Adult Two Day Course, then the fee is £3200. We can discuss this in more detail and can offer our building to deliver the training.

You will receive an email 1 week before your training date with all the necessary and required information you will need for the 2 day training. Please note there is a £50 cancellation fee for all bookings where less than 48 hours notice is given.
